Charoen Pokphand Foods (overseas), LLCRussia Baltic Pork Invest initiated construction on another swine complex
The enterprize with the estimated cost of 3 bill. rubles will be put into operation in 2017
Norvegian company Russia Baltic Pork Invest (RBPI, with 75,82% opf shares belonging to Charoen Pokphand Foods, which is a part on international conglomerate CP Group) initiated the consruction of swine complex designed to keep 180 thousand heads (19 th. tons of pork produciton per year) in the Nizhniy Novgorod region. It it planned that the enterprize with the estimated cost of 3 bil. rubles will be put into operation in 2017. The first swine complex of the company started operating the last year. In the worlds of Minister of Agriculture and food resources of the region, Mr. Alexey Morozov, - when the compasny reaches its full capacity - the Nizhniy Novgorod region will be completely provided with own production pork.
Russia Baltic Pork Invest (RBPI) is amnaging the projects of «Pravdinskoye Swino Proizvodstvo» (Kaliningrad region, the major asset, created in 2006) and «NNPP» ( the Nizhniy Novgorod region). Earlier the plans of the company presumed construction of seven new swine farms in Russia within 2015-2018 - which would increase sale pigs annual population over 2 mil. tons. The outlook of the company is to take 6% of domestic pork market.
